Salary 14.79 to 16.00 per hour,28,840 up to 31,200 annually + overtime at 1.5, BS37 working a 37.5 hour week, pension, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, parking, 2x salary life assurance scheme, permanent role.

An opportunity to join a friendly and established Aerospace engineering company who are recruiting for a CNC Miller, CNC programmer, CNC machinist for their Yate based operation. The role will be part of a small team reporting to the Production Manager.

Key tasks for the CNC Miller, CNC programmer, CNC machinist

Working in a workshop in a small and friendly team environment producing equipment used in the aerospace industry. Some occasional site work may be required from time to time.

  • Create, load, examine and modify CNC programmes;
  • Setting, operating and programming Hurco CNC Mill with Winmax controls
  • Set up tools and load materials onto the CNC machine;
  • Carry out machining of components;
  • Carry out inspection, including first-off inspection to the authorised level;
  • Identify and report drawing errors and suggest improvements;
  • Work with managers and supervisors to implement the Company’s policies and business objectives;

Experience & Qualifications

  • The role would suit a skilled machinist or tool maker with CNC Milling experience, or a CNC setter/operator with experience of full programming;
  • Ideally apprentice trained but times served candidates would be suitable
  • Able to work with metric and imperial drawings
  • Used to working to fine tolerances with ferrous and non ferrous materials;
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings;
  • Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment;
  • Conversational programming with Hurco experience desirable;
  • Able to work under own initiative;
  • Flexible, courteous, friendly and positive approach;
  • Discretion, confidentiality and professionalism at all times;
  • Eligible to work in UK.
