Daniel Owen are proud to be working with a UK leading independent manufacturer, their comprehensive operation includes the latest CAD-CAM design incorporating CNC mills, lathes and saws, in an impressive, modern machine-shop. Their business isn’t simply about their products; they have a keen focus on people, with a tight-knit community of skilled engineers and production operatives, as well as approach that guides and coaches all staff to feel empowered, valued and trusted. Due to growth in their need for supply they are looking to expands their team!
Machine Setup and Programming:
- Experience in setting up CNC machines, including installing work pieces, fixtures, and cutting tools.
- Ability to select and install appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, and fixtures for the machining process.
- Understanding of machine parameters, speeds, feeds, and optimisation techniques for efficient production.
CNC Machining Skills:
- CNC Setters must have a keen eye for detail and the ability to monitor the machining process closely, making adjustments to tooling or machine settings as necessary to maintain precision and quality.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in operating CNC machines, specifically Fanuc Controls.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (e.g., G-code) and the ability to modify programs as needed.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance:
- Capability to identify and resolve common CNC machine issues, such as tooling problems or programming errors.
- Proficiency in conducting routine machine maintenance and cleaning to ensure optimal performance.
- Knowledge of machine calibration and alignment procedures to maintain accuracy and precision Including Kinematics
- To be confident in the re-calibration of both Probes & OTS measuring Equipment
Quality Assurance:
- Attention to detail and ability to perform in-process inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Knowledge of machine guarding, lockout/tag-out procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
- Compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant industry regulations.
