We are currently looking for a Day Shift and Late Shift CMM Inspector to join our team based in Lymington, Hampshire.

The main purpose of the position is to ensure components are inspected to drawing tolerance, specifications, efficiently and accurately with a high attention to detail. Ensure that robust inspection practices and techniques are employed in an efficient manner for all customer products. To fully support the manufacturing process and ensure production is not delayed.

Hourly Rate: Competitive - £15.10ph to £18.45ph (Plus 16.5% if working late shift)

Hours of work: Days Shift - 39 hrs per week working: Monday to Thursday 06.45am to 3.30pm and Friday 7.00am to 1.00pm.

Late Shift - 39 hrs per week working: Monday to Wednesday 3.30pm to 02.00am and 3.30pm to 01.00am Thursday.

You may be required to work shift patterns Monday to Friday to suit business requirements.

The Company reserves the right to change shift start and finish times depending on the needs of the business.

CMM Inspector Duties
  • Inspect parts, CMM or manual methods, adjusting CMM programs
  • Multiset CMMs When Required.
  • Perform in process, first off and final inspection activities on all products and evaluate conformance to engineering requirements
  • Ensures all quality related matters are raised during Inspection to the Quality or Production Team for resolution.
  • Maintaining a quality first outlook on all inspection activities and decisions made
  • Ensures that all documentation and reports are maintained and completed accurately. This could be updating PCPs, Critical feature requirements and FAIR Data.
  • Raise nonconforming material/products and support corrective action activity / investigations when required
CMM Inspector Requirements
  • A Minimum of 3 years experience working within a high precision manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in alternate controls software to create programs for inspection.
  • Previous experience working in a similar role
  • Understanding of CMM Best practice techniques.
  • In Depth Knowledge of GD & T.
  • Recognised CMM Training or Programmer/operator training.
  • Work to high level of accuracy
  • Understanding of drawing tolerances & specifications.
  • Proficient in the use of IT Software, including Word & Excel
  • Working knowledge of Mitutoyo CMMs using COSMOS Platform Desirable
  • PC-DMIS Platform Desirable
  • Adjusting CM Programs & Writing Programs Desirable.
