About The Role

The Kent Autistic Trust is a very well-established specialist care provider supporting autistic people throughout Medway and across Kent. Our primary aim is to ensure autistic adults have the best quality of life that they can have. People with autism are at the heart of all that we do.

We are looking for an experienced, highly motivated, Supported Living/Care/Service Manager to take over from the well-respected current manager. The role involves managing two well established Supported Living services based in Medway, supporting 13 tenants with complex needs and Autism. Both services already have experienced Assistant Managers in situ together with a highly specialist staff team.

Are you a dynamic leader, with a pragmatic approach and certainly someone who isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up? This role requires a manager who will lead from the front, ensuring we continue to provide a secure and safe home in which the tenants can express their individuality through meaningful activities to maximise their unique development needs, and aspirations.

Both services certainly benefit from having a highly energised and creative staff team and excel in creating a fantastic social atmosphere by hosting regular communal events for their tenants such as karaoke, barbecues, parties, and competitions.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing either a residential care service or supported living service. We are looking for a supportive manager with a coaching mindset who will continue to enable the team to succeed. The role works closely with the Medway Regional Manager to ensure we achieve our quality vision. Ideally you should have already achieved NVQ Level 5 or equivalent. Many of the people we support have their own vehicle and we also have our own fleet of people carriers. As this is a driver essential role, you must hold a valid driving licence.
