What You’ll be Doing

As a Cloud Solutions Engineer, you’ll play an integral role in the 3rd Line Team, delivering and supporting cloud services, predominantly focusing on the Microsoft Azure stack, Microsoft 365, with potential expansion to AWS.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Technical Delivery: Engage in the technical delivery of customer specific cloud services, including the deployment of associated services such as backups, monitoring, reporting etc.

Collaboration: Interface with internal teams, including Presales and Project Managers, plus clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring projects are run smoothly and to plan.

Support & Mentorship: Provide mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to the team’s collective growth and knowledge via the creation of delivery associated documentation to ease the transition into the Support team

Problem Management & Resolution: Handle 3rd line support issues, including assisting with complex out of hours work and attending customer sites.

What You’ll Need

We are seeking a very safe pair of hands. A self-starter with a solid foundation in IT, notably Microsoft Azure and 365 who is looking for a new challenge and opportunity to join a dynamic team, focused on delivering leading cloud solutions.

Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with cloud technologies, enterprise solutions, and the broader Microsoft ecosystem will be pivotal.

Self-Starter: We need someone who can take initiative, identifying and acting on opportunities without direction.

Collaborative Spirit: The role requires seamless integration with the third-line team, ensuring that client onboarding and support are both smooth and efficient.

Diverse Responsibilities: This position is multifaceted and requires a willingness to adapt and wear multiple hats.

Learning and Growth: A keenness to continuously learn and stay updated with the latest in Azure and 365 is pivotal.

Pre-Sales Acumen: The ability to work with the pre-sales team to assess current client setups and strategise their transition to Azure is essential.

You’ll also need:

Must-haves: A robust background in supporting and delivering IT Cloud Services, a comprehensive grasp on the Azure stack, Microsoft 365, and a desire to innovate.

Certifications: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals certification AZ900 / MS900. Working towards (if not achieved) Microsoft Azure / 365 Administrator certification – AZ104 / MS102.

Desirables: An understanding of VMWare/Hyper-V environments, certifications like Prince2, ITIL Foundation, and Microsoft Azure Expert.

Others: UK driving license and the necessary clearances for working in the UK.
