As the Cloud Solution Architect you will be responsible for designing and implementing the management, monitoring, security, and privacy of data using cloud network services and network technologies to satisfy business needs and strategies. This person will work in the Cloud Center of Excellence and will drive the implementation of the cloud strategy along with the introduction of new emerging technologies, public cloud services and providers.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible developing and driving the cloud data strategy along with the introduction of new emerging technologies and public cloud services, cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring strategies across the business

• We are looking for you to develop well architected network solutions, optimized for cost, operations, performance, reliability and security.

• You’ll act as a key partner to our wider Cloud team, supporting with the design of target state Cloud Architecture. Your partners in this will include our Cloud Data Architects, Cloud Solution Architects, Cloud Security Architects, and Cloud Engineering and Development teams.

• Directs Architecture and Cloud Engineering teams in defining network technology strategy and roadmaps. In this you will develops short- and long-range product and service strategies and plans. In synchronicity with this you’ll conduct market place reviews and make adjustments to any operational activities surrounding these strategies based upon your findings.

• Builds Reusable Patterns for application development in the public cloud to deploy and modernize applications, provide governance around adoption, and influence application development teams on roadmaps and designs

• Ensures all technical leaders have architected resilient and robust systems. May oversee technology assessments, technology strategy reviews, and provide internal consulting to ensure all areas are practicing sound architecture hygiene.

A bit about you…

• You’ll be a technical expert in leading complex Software Engineering and Architecture initiatives, and as such can demonstrate significant experience in this work

• You’ll possess experience with public cloud architecture, Cloud strategy, networking, security, compliance workload types, migration patterns and tools. ` Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Experience with additional cloud providers is advantageous.

• You can translate complex ideas, technology, and programs into language senior management can relate to and will be confident at performing as a key influencer on technical decisions that affect the business on a long-term basis.

• Performs as an idea generator, working with others as a thought leader and subject- matter expert to help develop new processes and solutions.

• You’ll have experience of working with various enterprise applications and IT services, as well as software development, compliance and security, and IT operations disciplines. This will be coupled with knowledge of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with experience implementing best practices or suggested improvements.
