Our Prestigious customer is expanding its IT cloud solutions and is seeking to increase its market presence by investing in highly motivated and experienced cloud sales specialists. The customer is expanding its multi-cloud capabilities and managed services in line with its overall edge-to-cloud strategy. This is to offer value to its customers to offer the ’right mix of cloud by complementing the solutions provided by hyperscalers, especially Azure and AWS. The company has developed a good working knowledge in this area and is now driven to grow its multi-cloud business in the public and private sectors. This is a major objective for the company as it underpins the companys long-term strategy.

The customer is looking to appoint a highly driven cloud sales specialist with a proven track record in identifying and closing new business. The successful candidate will work across the Private and Public Sector sales teams within the company. The individual will focus on selling the companys and third-party cloud offerings and should therefore have a demonstrable track record in selling cloud solutions in order to quickly achieve results. It is essential that the candidate understands the business benefits of all variants of (public/private/hybrid/multi) cloud and, through a consultative approach, can be a trusted advisor to customers and assist them with their migration to the right cloud. An understanding of Microsoft Azure is essential and the ability to assist a customers strategy to migrate workloads in to the correct cloud location, whether that is, for example, Microsoft Azure or the companys own Cloud solution.

Services are infrastructure, disaster recovery, backup and platform.

The candidate must be enthusiastic about cloud, have ambition to succeed and (whilst support will be available with lead generation) must be self-motivated to achieve their own success.

The target market is existing and net-new customers who are on, or about to begin, their cloud journey. The focus is to ensure customers derive maximum benefit from their cloud adoption by selling them the right mix of cloud. The successful candidate will draw on the resources available within the company to maximise the companys share of the wallet, whilst ensuring the right outcome for the customer.

Identifying new opportunities, earning trust, formulating a cloud strategy, and building relationships are important elements of the role to influence thinking, drive sales and grow market share in the IT cloud sector.

Role Responsibilities Will Include
  • Leverage digital content marketing and business relationships to identify and close new cloud business.
  • Using experience and skill-set to influence and build strategic partnerships and work collaboratively across the organisation to develop a strong pipeline of cloud opportunities.
  • Communicating effectively at high level and presenting compelling arguments for reform to deliver success.
  • Use consultative sales techniques to close cloud-based opportunities identified in the installed customer base by account managers.
  • Be an expert in and wider industry cloud product and solutions portfolios to maximize the sales opportunity.
  • Achieving monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs
  • Ensuring services are delivered to the customer in accordance with the terms and conditions of the relevant contract.
  • Providing an accurate monthly sales forecast to the Public and Private Sector Business Unit Manager.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Lead customer engagements to understand their technical and business challenges and provide expert advice.
  • Contribute to bid and tender responses, providing compelling content to highlight the relative merits of the ’right mix solution proposed.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of Cloud Platform Services (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS)
  • Produce cloud infrastructure designs that integrate multiple cloud platforms with traditional infrastructure solutions.
  • Maintain and leverage Cloud assessment methodologies to inform design and Business Case development.
Essential
  • A proven track record in successfully selling Public and Private Cloud solutions.
  • A deep understanding and proven track record in selling Microsoft Azure cloud and services.
  • An up-to-date understanding of cloud solutions and market trends.
  • Disciplined with good time management.
  • Self-starter with sound decision making principles.
  • Possess great relationship building skills
  • Very good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Competent in MS office suite i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Desirable
  • Experience in selling AWS.
  • The full breadth of IT services and solutions such as Networks, Hardware, Security and Continuity solutions.
  • IT Professional/Managed Services.
  • Migration and back-up technologies.
  • A good understanding of edge-to-cloud computing.
  • Good social media understanding and presence.
  • Experience of TOGAF or similar framework.
