Excellent opportunity for a CLO lawyer to join a global alternative asset manager.

My client, a global alternative asset manager, is looking to hire a CLO lawyer who ideally has experience in fund formation.

The successful candidate will form part of a six-person team responsible for fund legal matters across a wide range of corporate strategies. They will deal primarily with CLO related matters but will also have the opportunity to work on other open and close ended pooled funds and segregated mandates or similar vehicles, interacting with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • advising on and being primarily responsible for CLO issuer formations and warehouse arrangements, US and EU risk retention matters, issuance of CLO performance notes (if applicable), arranger engagement letters and ICG’s CLO equity fund;
  • involvement in other open and close-ended products including the organisation’s secondary loans platform, alternatives fund and structured special opportunities fund including such products’ structuring, formation and investor negotiations; and
  • managing external counsel, discussions with potential investors and acting as an internal point of contact for portfolio managers.

This is an exciting opportunity as the lawyer coming into the role will sit with the project managers and investment team and will forge their own path in the organisation, while shaping the role.
