This is an exciting post that focuses on the operational aspects of externally funded research studies sponsored by the University Hospital of North Midlands. Research forms an integral part of our University teaching hospital and the trust is actively developing research activities across all clinical areas.

We are looking for a well-organised and professional Clinical Trials Manager to join the Research and Development Directorate. You will manage a small portfolio of research projects and will support the research team in planning and coordination activities around the operational aspects of a clinical project.

You will work within the Department to support, facilitate and monitor the progress of studies within the portfolio of UHNM sponsored studies to ensure study set up and delivery. This will include working collaboratively with research teams towards achieving timely study set-up, monitoring study specific recruitment targets and ensuring quality data is collected in accordance with standards of Good Clinical Practice for Research.

It is expected that the successful candidate will educated to degree level in preferably a Health related or Science background and will have experience of project management and the research processes associated with clinical studies. Good organisation and communication skills are essential.
