We are looking to recruit an experienced Secretary to provide efficient support to the Operational Manager and their senior nursing team within the Hospital Management Team at Rampton Hospital.

You must demonstrate an ability to provide a high quality and comprehensive secretarial service to the team under the direction of the PA /Admin Manager.

You must be creative, capable of tight deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative in what will be a challenging and demanding role.

You will have a good general education (3 x GCSE’s 9-4 or A-C - including English Language) along with RSA III typewriting (or equivalent experience), experience of arranging meetings and taking minutes and also knowledge of modern IT packages i.e. Microsoft Office applications (eg Word, Excel & Outlook). An excellent telephone manner is required with an ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality at all times.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the senior nursing team and to cover the colleagues in their absence
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Liaise with staff from all levels of the hospital
  • Convene and attend meetings as required, producing accurate minutes, collating papers and agenda items
  • Maintain electronic diaries for senior staff
  • Order stationery and other equipment using the relevant on-line systems

Essential requirements:
3 GCSE’s A-C/9-4 including English Language or equivalent

Typing/word processing qualification to RSA/OCR III standard or equivalent level of experience

Knowledge of a full range of Business & Administration procedures acquired through NVQ Level 3 or proven practical experience
