We have a vacancy for an experienced Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist (Band 8a) who is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for young people with moderate-severe mental health difficulties. Our multidisciplinary CAMHS team (based at Mary Chapman House, Norwich) is working hard to ensure that the young people who need our service get needs-led, evidence-based care as quickly as possible, and we need the diverse skills of a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to support these improvements. You will offer direct clinical work (specialist assessment, formulation, and group and individual interventions) with children under 14 years old with a range of moderate-severe mental health difficulties, and their families and carers where appropriate. You will provide support in a range of clinical aspects of the team (e.g. triage, case discussion, safety planning, crisis management) and supervision to the multidisciplinary team (including trainee clinical psychologists); applying psychological models and formulation to the needs of the young people accessing our service. Consultation and formulation with other relevant services will also be a core part of the role, as will be delivering training to the team and getting involved with relevant research projects. Your clinical leadership skills will also be valued in the development of services; the overarching aim to improve the speed of access and also the quality and consistency of care across CAMHS. We also have a thriving recovery college and there will be an opportunity to contribute to courses if desired. It is important to us that all staff share our values and core beliefs, and those of the NHS Constitution. We promote an environment of mutual respect, compassion, integrity and collaborative working. We are committed to diversity and inclusion and aim to attract and retain a candidate who is compassionate and committed to our trust values of working positively, respectfully, and together. We are an improving Trust, with ambitious aspirations and we are making significant contributions to exciting transformation work that seeks to promote a shared responsibility for mental health of young people across various community health and social care services, education and the voluntary sector. We are keen to develop clinical leadership further, and would encourage your involvement in this. For further details / informal visits contact: Name: Gemma Bowers Job title: Principle Clinical Psychologist Email address: Gemma.Bowers@nsft.nhs.uk Telephone number: 01603 272800Principle Clinical Psychologist | Gemma.Bowers@nsft.nhs.uk
