Medacy is looking to recruit Clinical Pharmacy Technicians to support GP practices in Middlesbrough in their delivery of clinical pharmacy services. You will only be required to travel to the practice once every 2 months and otherwise will be based remotely,

The role will involve playing a full and active role as part of the multidisciplinary practice team whilst working from home.

The ideal candidate for the role will have:

  • NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent
  • Previous GP Practice experience
  • At least three years post-registration experience
  • Good Clinical knowledge
  • The commitment to continue to learn and develop.
  • The confidence to work as part of a busy GP practice
  • The ability to adapt to convey information to patients and fellow healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Work alongside Clinical Pharmacists
  • Answer medication-related queries
  • Process specialist treatment letters
  • Care home support
  • Process hospital discharge letters.
  • Support patients to get the maximum benefit from their medication with minimum adverse effects.

Qualifications and Skills

  • NVQ3 Pharmacy services (or equivalent)
  • Registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • The ability to be able to adapt your style to convey information to fellow healthcare professionals and the most challenging patients
  • Hold Personal Professional Indemnity Insurance
  • Be able to demonstrate commitment to CPD
