Clinical Manager

Our client runs several homes in the south of England that specialise in care for people with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurological, physical, and mental health needs.

We now have an opening for a Clinical Manager to join our friendly team near Portsmouth.

The Role

The Clinical Manager will lead the team in ensuring the delivery of person-centered care for people with complex physical and neurological healthcare needs, ensuring that care is assessed and planned in a way that promotes the principles of optimising quality of life and a strengths-based approach, is consistent with evidence based practice and delivered and reviewed in accordance with agreed mental and physical healthcare and risk management policies.

The Clinical Manager will act as an expert practitioner with a particular emphasis on specialist care

within the team offering support and guidance to the nursing team as appropriate and

ensuring that all members of the team are actively engaged in delivering resident care in accordance with the agreed care plan.

Essential Key Skills
  • Must be Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of complex and high-risk cases and the ability to manage them effectively
  • Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally, complex matters using appropriate methods to a wide spectrum of people including staff and residents
  • Ability to effectively lead the clinical team providing management, supervision and support as required
  • Ability to motivate both staff and residents
  • The Clinical Manager will demonstrate understanding of key legislative and other frameworks e.g. Mental Health Act, Health; Safety Act, Safeguarding; Adult Protection, Equal Opportunities and their implications for practice
