The Role

We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a highly experienced Specialist Occupational Health Manager with a recognised qualification in this speciality to join our supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary team at Hampshire County Council.

Our team comprises Occupational Health Advisers, Wellbeing Advisers, Screening Technicians and an administration team, with a contracted-in Occupational Health Physician provision. We provide a service to a diverse working population including Hampshire County Council and its schools, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service, Service and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.

Your role will be as Clinical Lead, supporting the Head of Service in delivering a quality Occupational Health Service. You will also be responsible for managing, leading, coaching and supporting OHA Clinical Team (OH Advisers and Screening Technicians) with a sharp focus on quality/performance and attendance management. This will involve enabling the team to ensure that they are successful, achieving required individual and team performance standards, achieving their potential and for recruiting and retaining talent.

In addition, you will represent the OH Team in key business, project and stakeholder meetings ensuring we develop and successfully deliver a quality Occupational Health Service to our service partners.

About You

You will be an Adult Nurse (RN1) level 1 or a Mental Health Nurse (RN3) level 1. You will hold a recognised qualification in Occupational Health, and preferably be on part 3 of the NMC register.

You will have a proven ability to manage individuals and teams, and to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across diverse organisations. An enthusiastic team player, with excellent communication skills, you will be motivated and have good IT skills. Knowledge of Meddbase software would also be advantageous.

An ability to start immediately is required.
