Are you looking to develop your career and join a team passionate about diabetes care?Due to maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity for a motivated dietitian who is enthusiastic about providing a high-quality service to patients with diabetes.You will be working as a Clinical Expert Diabetes Dietitian within the multi-disciplinary diabetes integrated care service based at Scunthorpe General Hospital. The team consists of specialist nurses, podiatrists and consultants who provide care and treatment to support people living with diabetes.The service provides high-quality care to patients with complex Type 2 diabetes, Type 1 diabetes and diabetes antenatal clinics.The post holder will be responsible for developing the service, managing their own caseload in a secondary care setting, running outpatient dietetic and MDT clinics. You will deliver structured group education sessions and be involved in in-house education workshops.You will also be responsible for training and supervising students, providing peer support/supervision to other dietetic colleagues and contributing to the evaluation and development of the dietetic service.Applicants must have extensive experience working with adults with diabetes, flash and continuous glucose monitoring and be proficient in carbohydrate counting. Experience of insulin pump therapy is desirable.Excellent Communication, Team Working And Organisational Skills Are Essential.We’re a large organisation with three hospitals located in Scunthorpe, Grimsby and Goole.
