Our solutions range from upgrades to facility’s energy infrastructure to the development, construction and operation of renewable energy plants combined with tailored financial solutions. We work with customers on both sides of the meter to arrange supply contracts, reduce operating expenses, upgrade and maintain facilities, stabilize energy costs, improve occupancy comfort levels, increase energy reliability and enhance the environment.

Ameresco is looking for experienced Client Director (CD) that can work with a portfolio of high-value Industrial and Commercial (I&C) clients to support their energy and sustainability management activities.

The Role

The CD can expect to work with multi-disciplined teams with varying skillsets and abilities ensuring the delivery of Ameresco’s key services to exacting service levels. The successful candidate can expect to be:

  • Developing relationships at different levels in an organisation, from the C-Suite to plant managers to understand their energy and sustainability requirements.
  • Work with Ameresco consultants, service teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to position, sell, develop and deploy products and services.
  • Developing routines and procedures for managing business-critical data flows
  • Developing innovative engagements methods for presenting data to clients and working together to generate strategic and operational insights.
  • Providing expert industry knowledge and guidance to teams within Ameresco.

Qualifications and Knowledge

  • A Degree level qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • This is a senior role and the successful applicant will have a demonstrable track record in the development and delivery of energy and sustainability services which includes a knowledge of energy supply contracts, both fixed and flexible, energy markets trading and futures contracts experience, portfolio management including bill validation and query handling, and project origination and management in areas such as new connections, demand response and energy efficiency.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Professional Development
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Sharepoint and PowerBi desirable.
  • Evidence of a quantitative background is preferable, and candidates will ideally demonstrate an understanding and capability to work with energy data sets and financial information.

  • Experience at dealing with strategic concerns at different levels of an organisation.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Be well spoken, articulate and have an excellent telephone/video call manner and confidence in dealing with people, in particular using remote communications technology.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and multiple projects.
  • Good numerical skills.
  • Team player with the intellectual rigour, attention to detail and personality to command respect internally and externally.
  • Ability to plan team work in a structured and prioritised way in line with business demands and client needs.
  • Self-assured and a determined outlook and drive for outstanding results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Power user of Microsoft packages.[DL2]
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate large and complex amounts of data whilst under tight deadlines.

Experience

  • 6-8 years in an energy consultancy, management consultancy or strategic consultancy role essential.
  • This is a flexible role and may suit individuals looking for a part-time or job-share structure with predominantly remote working but with a high level of communication over Microsoft Teams.

Salary

Negotiable depending on skills and experience (£55-£80k pro-rata, or equivalent day rate)
