We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Cleaning Manager to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

The ideal candidates duties would include but not be limited to -

Direct the work of the Team Leaders and Cleaners ensuring all areas are cleaned to the required standard. Lead a large team effectively to deliver results often working to deadlines.

Run all aspects of the housekeeping department including Rotas, Payroll and stock management.

Be responsible for Recruitment, inductions and development of all team members and Cleaning Supervisors. This will include conducting annual performance and development reviews; conducting weekly team briefs and fortnightly 1:1 meetings as well as performance management

Monitor the cleaning budget and identify efficiency savings.

Take responsibility for commercial contract compliance through conducting monthly audits and providing monthly updates to the General Manager and client on performance

Establish a strong working relationship with the client and management team and be able to communicate effectively to all other departments.

Enforce relevant statutory and company health and safety compliance on site, including maintenance of cleaning equipment, in order to develop a safety conscious culture

Maintain excellent standards across the site

Role Responsibility

  • Monitor the cleaning budget and identify efficiency savings
  • Take responsibility for commercial contract compliance through conducting monthly audits and providing monthly updates to the General Manager and client on performance
  • Establish a strong working relationship with the client to raise Sodexo’s profile and develop new business opportunities
  • Enforce relevant statutory and company health and safety compliance on site, including maintenance of cleaning equipment, in order to develop a safety conscious culture

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

Essential

  • Previous experience of managing and leading a team
  • Ability to solve problems and implement appropriate
  • Previous experience of working in standards driven/compliance environment
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety and COSHH regulations
  • Ability to prioritise and deploy resources effectively
  • Previous experience of conducting audits and undertaking risk assessments
  • Previous cleaning experience
  • Client relationship experience

Desirable

  • Awareness of quality management systems e.g. ISO
  • IOSH / NEBOSH qualification
  • British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICS) qualified
  • Knowledge of external cleaning developments and innovations

Package Description

We are currently looking for a Accommodation Manger to join our busy site at Newbold Revel.

This is a large training site that houses 280 Bedrooms, Gymnasium and a Church

We have a permanent position for a candidate who can run all aspects of the large cleaning team.

It is £12.50 per hour paid monthly. The working day at site starts from 6am. It is 40 Hours a week working any five days out of seven including weekends.
