Domestic Assistants (Cleaning Assistants) Working within our Cecil Court Care Home in Kew, South West London

Hours available: Part-time, 28 hours per week

Salary: £17,189.98 per annum (FTE), equivalent to £8.91 per hour

We’re seeking enthusiastic Domestic Assistants to work within our Care Home to look after people of 65 and over, some of whom have dementia. The offer

Our Domestic Assistants salary is £17,189.98 per annum for 37 hours, equivalent to £8.91 per hour. We can be flexible to accommodate other lengths of shift, for example covering our busiest times.

Your role as a Domestic Assistant

As a Domestic Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Home, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment always and respecting the privacy and dignity of residents always. Reporting to the Home Management Team, some of your main duties will include: - Tidying and cleaning residents’ rooms and bathrooms, as well as offices and communal areas- Completing laundry duties- Maintaining all cleaning equipment- To report any faulty equipment, defects or hazards in the Home to your line manager

About You

You will need:- To be a great team player- Good communication skills- Basic literacy and numeracy skills- To be compassionate and patient- Ideally some experience in a caring industry, for example hospitality or schools- To pass our DBS check Even better if you have previous experience of a care environment, providing personal care or knowledge of dementia.
