Temp to Perm Placement

Are you looking for a temp to perm opportunity in the Waste Industry? Ideally you will have been working in a similar environment (i.e. refuse) but our customer is willing to train a candidate who is looking for a career in commercial refuse collection.

You will undergo a 2 – 3 week induction with another driver so as to understand all aspects of the role that you will be undertaking.
  • Monday to Friday
  • Circa 4am – 5am starts
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Daily vehicle checks (reporting any issues immediately)
  • Waste collections to commercial venues around Manchester
  • Cab is double manned to provide an efficient and professional service
  • To keep your vehicle in a clean and tidy condition
Candidate Requirements
  • Class 2 (CAT C) entitlement
  • Valid CPC / Driver Qualification Card
  • Valid Digi / Digital Tachograph / Driver Card
  • No more than 6 points on licence (No serious offences)
  • NEW PASSES WELCOME
  • Knowledge of driver hours and road traffic regulations
  • Customer facing and ability to think on one’s feet
  • Reliable and ready to get the job done
As a temporary to permanent opportunity, you will initially join Driver Hire Manchester West and be paid on a weekly basis. Upon successful completion of your temporary period, you would then transfer to the company as a permanent employee.
