Class 2 Driver / Category C -Central Distribution Centre, Runnymede, Egham - 38.5 Hours Per Week.


World Duty Free are looking for a Class 2 Driver to join their fast paced and dynamic team. You will play a crucial role supporting the delivery schedule as required, by delivering to Airports & Retail Outlets in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. As well as supporting with all warehouse activities where needed, including unloading and sorting deliveries.

A good attention to detail and excellent time keeping is vital in this role, ensuring delivery KPI’s are met and to maintain the smooth running of the operation. If you have recent experience within the driving and warehouse industry and an enthusiasm for teamwork, then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Driving up to 32t rigid vehicles to deliver stock airside & to retail outlets covering the whole of the UK up to Scotland
  • Using the scanner equipment (hand-held guns) to consolidate & mark up stock
  • Consolidating cages and pallets with the use of pump trucks
  • Loading and unloading Lorries using the scissor lift
  • To assemble deliveries for despatch and ensure goods are in correct locations to delivery schedule.

Experience:

  • A Class 2 (category C) driving licence is essential
  • Knowledge of EU driving regulations (hours, rest periods) and the use and maintenance of tachograph equipment desirable
  • Driver CPC card holder
  • Experience of working in a warehousing or despatch environment
  • Enthusiasm for physical, manual handling activity
  • Less than 6 points on your licence
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills, building relationships with team members, internal and external customers

Shift pattern: 12 hour shifts, 4 days on 4 days off, working between 3am - 7pm.

Please note all of our roles are on a rolling shift basis, therefore the days do change every week
