Due to upturn in business post covid lockdown, the need has arisen for a full time Class 1 HGV Driver / Warehouseman with counterbalance fork lift truck license to join our team in Low Prudhoe.

Global Manufacturing Supplies is a supply chain management company and supplier of bespoke manufactured components to the UK manufacturing industry.

We are a friendly, family orientated company who pride ourselves on looking after the wellbeing of our staff.

Main responsibilities of this job include.

  • Delivery of the organisations product using our articulated wagon
  • Management of delivery paperwork and making sure the delivery notes are properly filed and processed upon return to the warehouse
  • Collection of containers from the Port of Tyne
  • Ensuring the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition at all times
  • Helping promote the organisations image
  • Follow company health and safety procedures
  • Follow company environmental procedures
  • Comply with all quality system requirements
  • Maintain good working practices and housekeeping
  • Driving of our van when the wagon is not required
  • Helping with warehouse work when not driving i.e picking of customer orders, assisting in offloading containers, decanting of customer product into customer stillages

Salary / Package

  • £12.80 per hour (£25,000.00 per year)
  • Overtime paid at time and a half
  • 25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
  • Night out allowance of £25.00 plus meal expenses

Main working hours would be Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30 and Friday 08:00 – 14:00 however occasional overtime will be required as well as the need for an occasional midweek night out.

Initially this job will be a 6 month temporary position with a view to take on the successful candidate full time.

Only candidates with no more than 6 points on their license will be considered.

Candidates must have valid CPC and digicard.
