Class 1 Driver

Here at XPO, we’re looking for Class 1 Drivers to join our team in Tamworth, partnering with our customer, Premier Foods. You’ll be working a minimum 48 hours per week, 4 different day rotas (Mon/Fri – Tues/Sat – Sun/Thurs – Fri/Mon) available on AM and PM, whichever you prefer!

Whether you’re an experienced HGV Driver with C+E entitlement or you’re newly qualified and looking for an organisation to provide coaching and development this role is perfect for you!

In return for your hard work, we’re offering a competitive salary with great premiums. In our current pay structure, you can earn between £16.00 and £19.73 hourly! We will guarantee 48 hours so minimum take home before deductions £768 weekly. On top of a great hourly rate we also offer a premium rest day working bonus, meaning your OTE could vary between £42,000 - £49,000! What you’ll do on a typical day:

• 
  Delivering a variation of ambient goods to a mix of both distribution centres and cash & carry’s
• You’ll be conducting between 1 and 3 drops per day depending on your dedicated route
• Conduct relevant vehicle safety checks prior to leaving the depot to ensure your truck is safe for operation
• Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately and on-time

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• 
  A full UK driving licence with C+E entitlement
• An up to date CPC and digital tachograph
• A maximum of 6 penalty points (no IN, DR, DD, or DG endorsements)
• Adaptable and flexible in your approach
