The opportunity:

We’re looking for talented, ambitious Claims Handlers to join the Motor Expert Claims Team at our new state of the art office in Glasgow’s financial services district.

Working in Zurich’s Motor claims department, you will be responsible for handling and resolving a full portfolio of complex claims by investigating, negotiating and finalising claims in line with governance guidelines and your authority limits.

As a Claims Handler you will be dealing with brokers, solicitors and suppliers so you will need excellent communication skills. Experience working within Insurance previously is preferred but we are able to review candidates with other customer service backgrounds. Additionally you will require good case management and workload management skills and have the ability to coach and direct less experienced claims handlers.

What you will be doing?

  • Responsible for handling and negotiating claims
  • Compliance to statutory regulations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • To proactively handle third party claims aiming to settle cases within optimum time scales
  • Investigation and evaluation of liability and quantum to achieve the desired resolution for all claims handled

Who are we looking for?

You will deliver exceptional customer service to customers through strong communication relationship management and effective negotiation skills. You will also have an inquisitive nature that will enable you to ask appropriate questions and reach accurate decisions
You will be educated to GCSE Level standard (or equivalent). Progress towards CII professional qualifications will also be advantageous. Strong IT skills will also be required.
