What’s in it for me?

People Solutions are seeking a Drafting Claims Handler for our client based in central Lichfield close to the train station.

The role is a permanent position which offers paid training for 12 weeks and then will revert to a home working role with all equipment provided.
The working hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am - 17.30pm (no weekends)
The salary offered is £19,450

Day to Day Duties

Delivering individual targets to support the departments
Investigate claims and prepare for drafting proceedings
Drafting court proceedings
Understanding the service level agreement in place with solicitor assigned to file, liaising, and chasing as needed to ensure delivery
Delivering individual targets set re timescales of solicitor acknowledgement negotiated settlement or initiated action
Identify shortfalls in service levels level agreement, reporting repetition or issues to the Team Leader
Monitoring and prioritising incoming emails and post
Any other duties as required

Essential Skills

Ideally have a law degree and be looking to gain litigation experience
Ideally but not essential experience within the Insurance industry
Understanding of litigation process and court proceedings would be advantageous
Clear verbal communication skills, persuasive and assertive
Good written communication skills
Proven judgement and decision- making skills
Demonstrate commercial awareness
Demonstrator experience of achieving against targets
Results driven and tenacious

Detail conscious
Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
Adaptable, tenacious self starter who is results orientated
Able to work on own initiative as well as supporting team and departmental goals and objectives
IT Literate, demonstrate experience of using in house computer systems

What training is provided?

2 weeks office based paid training then the role reverts to home working with all equipment provided
