MBA are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler to join an exciting and expanding team in Salford Quays. About the Role

Our client is looking for a Claims Handler to join their Property Team in the Salford Quays office. You will manage the claims process from start to finish, providing a thorough investigation, working parallel with external loss adjusters to progress the claims efficiently and fairly.

Though this role is based in Salford Quays, you are only expected to be in the office an average of twice per week so please ensure this is a comfortable commute for you.

As a Claims Handler, you will be required to complete the following tasks;

  • To pro-actively handle claims from a variety of insurers in a manner that supports efficient and effective settlement for the policy holder
  • To add value to the customer journey by providing sound technical advice and keeping the policy holder informed at key stages
  • Understand the customer needs and requirements, ensuring their centricity in your service
  • Identify areas of risk or failure and mitigate accordingly

What we are looking for in a Claims Handler;

  • Previous experience managing Property Claims (domestic, real-estate or HNW claims as a minimum)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information in a clear and concise way
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills to build rapport and manage customer expectations
  • Good influencing and negotiation skills in order to settle claims fairly and promptly
  • Good organisational skills to co-ordinate and deliver on a variety of actions concurrently, delivering every time to high standards
  • Strong computer literacy skills to make effective use of a variety of ICT platforms and applications
