We have a fantastic opportunity to join our Anti-Fraud team on a permanent basic as a Claims Crime prevention Controller. This role can work from Leeds, Ipswich or Bournemouth with the opportunity to work from home 1 or 2 days per week. We adopt a flexible working environment with a focus on learning and development.

You will oversee linked and complex counter fraud investigations, influence counter-fraud processes across all channels and to help develop fraud awareness across operational teams.

You will work to prevent, detect and disrupt personal lines fraud threats, providing business support and working with external bodies such as the Insurance Fraud Bureau and other law enforcement agencies to identify and highlight any emerging risks to ensure we protect our genuine customers and the business from financial crime harm. About you

You will have experience in a Motor Insurance financial crime background with a technical understanding of insurance fraud and complex policy investigations with focus on application fraud, identity theft and misrepresentation and knowledge of a range of application fraud types and counter-fraud tools at point of quote, point of sale and post-sale.

You will have an awareness of regulatory bodies such as the FCA and knowledge of important financial crime bodies and legislation including GDPR, Fraud Act 2006, Consumer Insurance (Disclosure and Representations) Act 2012 and Financial Services & Marketing Act 2000 with knowledge of fraud prevention systems such as SIRA, Hunter, CIFAS or similar.

You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence people and confidence to engage with key internal stakeholders e.g. Underwriting, Pricing, Claims and external stakeholders e.g. Brokers, Medco and Aggregators to ensure fraud controls in place prevent future exposure

You will have great Microsoft office experience including Outlook, Excel, Word, Power point and the ability to analyse large quantities of data for trends producing clear reports.

Details

  • Proactive investigation of a range of personal lines insurance fraud scenarios, effectively utilising intelligence databases and investigations tools. Identifying potential areas of risk and/or leakage and actions to prevent and mitigate this.

  • To attend industry counter-fraud organisations and law enforcement agency conferences representing the interests of LV=GI and providing instructions, actions as necessary.

  • Ensure engagement with internal and external Stakeholders to influence adequate fraud controls to prevent future exposure, disrupt fraudulent activity, share knowledge.

  • To provide strategic guidance to Crime Prevention consultants on tactics on new and existing linked and organised fraud cases, including liaising with other parties as necessary such as brokers, insurers, external bodies and Linked and Organised Technical Coordinator.

  • Ability to organise own caseload of linked, organised and complex investigations, completing submissions to enforcement agencies, supporting prosecutions, and influence controls to mitigate risk/prevent future exposure.

  • To be responsible for complying with all internal, regulatory and statutory standards and controls, so that the requirements of LV=, Allianz and regulatory bodies are met.

  • Continue to improve own Technical expertise and awareness of market, legislation, regulations and application fraud trends and as such, to be at the forefront of LV=GI and industry strategy.

  • Approve (or write as necessary) guidance materials and any external/internal training as fit for purpose complying with all LV= controls and procedures and roll out such training as require contributing to good practice guidelines.

  • Support with quality assurance reviews of external organisations, suppliers, internal audit and operational departments on a routine and ad hoc basis.

  • To attend trails, meditations and settlement conferences as well as conferences with leading & Junior counsel, solicitors and experts, representing the interests of the genuine customer and of the business and providing instructions as necessary.
