Civil Engineer (Residential)

William Davis Homes is one of the Midlands leading housebuilders with an exceptional reputation for delivering five-star family homes across the East and West Midlands. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced engineer to join its well-established team at the Companys Head Office in Loughborough.

The role would suit an experienced Civil / Infrastructure Engineer from a house building or consultancy background that is looking for a key role within a privately owned and highly successful business.

Managing and instructing the external engineering consultants on residential housing developments, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the detailed Section 38, 278 and 104 packages necessary to secure technical approval and the relevant legal agreements.

Suitable applicants will possess a HNC and be proficient in AutoCad, with a working knowledge of PDS or Site 3D and Windes as a minimum.

The ability to liaise with local authority staff, statutory bodies and external consultants whilst working to strict timescales and budgets is essential.

Typical duties involved with this role include:-

Issuing of technical information to site and consultants

Organising tender briefs for issuing to external consultants

Advising Architects and Planning with initial layout design

Appoint Topographical and GPRS utility surveys

Reviewing of all technical plans for submission to relevant authorities

Vetting of design to ensure commercial compliance

Assisting the Lands Team with site feasibility appraisals

Responding to and addressing site construction issues

Discharging of any Engineering Planning Conditions

Compiling of initial drawings using AutoCad & 3D software packages

Coordination of site Utilities packages, obtaining quotes and diversions

Managing S38/S104/S278 Legal Agreements with Solicitors
