Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Skills and Inclusion programme of the Stirling and Clackmannanshire City Region Deal. Stirling Council leads the Inclusion element of the City Region deal and is now seeking 2 experienced Inclusion Workers to join the programme.

As an Inclusion Worker, you will work across Stirling and Clackmannanshire Council areas providing targeted support to individuals and families. Your role will be to build the self-esteem, confidence, wellbeing and resilience, as well as the everyday life skills, of people living in priority communities.

Candidates will have a good working knowledge of the types of community based support interventions that can make a difference in people’s lives and help them to progress.

You will provide person centred support to individuals and their families creating pathways to participation supporting progression to further education, volunteering and employment. You will also support access to further skills development and training opportunities created through the Skills Pathways programmes designed to support local people to develop skills for work roles created by the City Region Deal.

You will have excellent communication and interaction skills together with a track record of engaging successfully with vulnerable individuals on a one to one and group work basis. Partnership working skills will be key to ensuring the best outcomes for participants on the programme.

This programme is part fund by the European Social Fund. One post will be temporary for four years and one will be temporary until 31st December 2022.

Requirements
