Your role will be to provide care and support to children with physical disabilities within a residential setting. As a Children’s Support Worker, you will support the children with their daily needs and ensure you are maintaining their safety and independence. This will include assisting with washing, cleaning, attending events in the community and personal care and support.

You will be supporting children with a wide range of disabilities such as autism, physical disabilities, learning disabilities, cerebral palsy, mental health etc. In your role you will be required to have strong communication skills as some of the individuals supported may use non-verbal communication. You will have to have experience working with children with disabilities and the relevant training and transferable skills to support.

Due to the locations of the services, we support and the needs of our clients, you will need to be a driver with access to your own vehicle in order to get to shift and take out individuals in the community.

To Work With Us, You Will Need

  • 1 year UK recent care experience or 2 years in the last 5 years
  • Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
  • Willing to undertake personal care
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
