An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated experienced Paediatric nurse to work within our friendly, forward thinking Children’s Community Nursing Service.

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic practitioner to help support the team through a very exciting period of development and expansion. You will be a motivated and innovative nurse with extensive experience of working with children, ideally in the community setting. You will be able to demonstrate excellent team-working, assessment, communication and leadership skills.

The work is varied and offers a wide range of experiences in the delivery of care to children with acute, chronic and long-term nursing needs in their own homes and in other community settings within the area of West Mendip, Somerset. You will need to be flexible, have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently but also as part of a very supportive team delivering care to a diverse caseload. This is a comprehensive role covering a wide range of specialties and skill mix.

This could include out of hours bleep holding for the CCN On-Call service and CCN palliative care team.

Our children’s community nurse team and paediatric service has a long history of development and as a result there could be opportunities to expand your role/ hours further in the future.

Permanent 0.6 WTE position

Full driving licence and availability of a vehicle are requirements for this post.
