GLL is looking for a Children¿s Centre Receptionist to work in the South Greenwich area of Royal Greenwich. If you have a passion for people, and can deliver a first-class customer experience, this is your chance to become the friendly face of a busy Children¿s Centre reception.
As one of the team, you¿ll enjoy making a difference to every person who walks through our doors with your warm welcome and helpful attitude. Often a parents first port of call, you¿ll answer the phone, handle enquiries, carry out service administration and lots more to ensure that our frontline service runs smoothly and efficiently; all with a smile on your face and knowing that you have our support behind you.
It is a priority for us that we have the right person for the job on reception, so that our visitors feel welcomed and given the attention they deserve. You may need to move around to other Children Centres in our area, so you¿ll be flexible as this sometimes may be at short notice. You will also have experience of taking notes to support some of our meetings.
Good IT, literacy, numerical and communication skills are vital for this customer service role, combined with the ability to quickly get up to speed on our service activity programme, what services we offer and the systems we use, as well as keep the whole environment tidy and relevant. As well as a can-do attitude that shines through all you do, you¿ll learn new skills, and will need to react to parents and visitors with tact and sensitivity too.
Please attach a supporting statement to your application. In the statement you are required to explain and evidence in detail the qualities, experience, knowledge and skills you have acquired and give evidence relevant to this role you are applying for. This must be attached in order for you to be considered for the opportunity.
In return, we offer a range of benefits that you’d expect from the UK¿s largest leisure provider
¿ Pension schemes
¿ Ride to work scheme
¿ Discounted membership at our leisure centres
The opportunity to join the GLL Society and have a say in how we are run plus associated social events
¿ Career pathways
¿ Ongoing training and development to help you to be the best you can
The welfare and safety of the children in our care is of the utmost importance to us at GLL. We follow safer recruitment procedures to ensure that our staff are checked and appropriate to work with children and young people. Therefore we will require you to complete an enhance DBS check before you will be allowed to start work.
All pay rates are subject to skills, experience, qualifications and location.
