Are you passionate about helping young people with mental health problems. An exciting career opportunity has arisen for 1 fulltime Children and young people’s psychological wellbeing practitioner

to join Trafford CAMHS – Band 5.

Trafford CAMHS work with children, young people and families aged up to 18 years and who present with a wide range of complex emotional and behavioural difficulties. The role will be based at Trafford

CAMHS located in Sale.

Our CWP provision provides evidence based, short-term interventions for mild mental health presentations (anxiety, low mood and/or behavioural difficulties). Additionally, CWPs run workshops, raise awareness of mental health and emotional wellbeing to parent/carers, young people and

professionals to promote positive mental health. The service functions across the London Borough of Barnet and is community based.

We are a strong, supportive, friendly department and support professional development.

The successful candidate will be able to establish good communication and rapport with children and young people and demonstrate a graduate level knowledge of research and research methodology.

You will also have a broad general and/or clinical knowledge base of Child Development and Mental Health.

You should be able to work as a team member and to engage effectively with clients and staff across a range of contexts and be able to plan and organise in the face of complex and competing demands.

You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work with people from different backgrounds, cultures and of different ages.

The post holder will have a positive and proactive approach to their own continuing professional development and have the capacity for reflective practice.
