WYVERN COLLEGE CHILDCARE

We have a vacancy for a full time Childcare Manager in our outstanding day nursery

Scale F £36,167 - £40,464

Hours: Monday to Friday. 37 hours per week on a shift basis between hours of 7.30am-6.00pm. 8 hours per day x 4 days, 1 x 5 hour day. 52 weeks per year

Job Role:Have overall management and operation of our 3 x Outstanding graded Childcare settings incorporating a Day Nursery (84 place) and Afterschool Club (infant school age).

You must enjoy working within a professional Early Years staff team and be able to communicate effectively with colleagues, children and generate a genuine partnership with parents. A sense of humour, an enthusiastic approach and ability to contribute towards working within a safe, stimulating early years’ environment is vital.

You will be a key holder and will share the responsibility for opening up or locking up the setting when necessary.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

- Minimum NVQ level 3 in Children’s Care, Learning & Development or equivalent.

- 3 years minimum experience of working within a day nursery environment at a senior / management level.

- GCSE English and Maths grade C minimum.

- Good communication skills verbal & written

- Certificates in Food Hygiene, First Aid, Safeguarding, are desirable. Full training given
