The Aspire training team are looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare qualification during a 15-month apprenticeship with Little Firs Nursery.

Little Firs Nursery is a highly respectable childcare setting located in Weymouth and their mission is to provide a happy, stimulating and secure environment. Their Nursery was purpose built to accommodate both them and their children for all of their needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their first steps towards a career in childcare, working in a fantastic childcare setting while learning from qualified and experience childcare professionals.

Your Duties And Responsibilities Will Include
  • Work as part of a team to create a warm, friendly, and stimulating atmosphere in which children can develop emotionally, socially, and educationally.
  • Assisting with setting up different activities for the children
  • Gain as much practical experience as possible throughout the apprenticeship
  • Helping to prepare and serve meals to the children
  • Ensuring the nursery is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Assisting with checks around the nursery
  • Keeping up to date with all coursework
The ideal candidate will be bright, energetic, and passionate about childcare with a willingness to learn more and to gain further qualifications. You must be reliable, hardworking, and a good team player who is able to follow instructions and you must be willing to undertake training in order to gain your Level 2 in Childcare.

You must be able to gain a clear DBS, and have GCSE grades A*-C in Maths and English Language (or equivalent i.e. functional skills). If you do not have these grades you must be willing to work towards them in the event you would like to progress onto a Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship as these are required upon completion of the Level 3.
