Specialist within the construction arena with a rapidly growing market share and reputation for excellence in delivery is seeking a Chief Operations Officer to join their Executive team. This is a permanent role centred on driving and delivering success through all operational areas of the business.

Commutable from: Birmingham, Worcester, Telford, Wolverhampton, Wrexham

Salary: £ Negotiable + Company Car + Bonus + Equity + Private Health

The Role

The Chief Operating Officer will lead and inspire a team encompassing design, project, delivery, compliance, and the people that comprise these teams. You demonstrate and embody the spirit of excellence in execution of the work and ensure the key operational objectives are identified, examined, explored, and achieved.

The Chief Operating Officer will support the bidding process and delivery for projects for RIBA stages 1 to 6 and ensure that the key metrics for quality, project, programme, risk, compliance, and process efficiency are met by the respective teams.

You will support and foster a culture of maintaining the highest standards of customer engagement and satisfaction at every stage of the process from initial bidding to project handover, ensuring that the key stakeholders have the resources required to deliver the projects.

The Person

The Chief Operating Officer will possess a background within the construction sector and ideally a higher-level qualification alongside any relevant industry accreditations. You will be highly conversant with the latest innovations within the sector including digital applications, modern methods of construction and modular building activities. Previous experience within offsite construction is highly advantageous for the role.

The Chief Operating Officer will possess a proven and demonstrable background within the sector leading and delivering an operational level remit encompassing management and leadership at strategic level of project, process, construction, delivery, HS&E, and compliance requirements.

The successful candidate will be a proven engager of people and be able to influence and drive exceptional results from the hugely talented teams within the business.
