We’re looking for a experienced and motivated chef to join a very fast paced SHARED kitchen environment for our delivery kitchen in HACKNEY East London.

We make the finest scratch cooked Smoked Brisket, Pastrami and cured meats everyday then package them up for collections, deliveries and Nationwide Deliveries; with occasional events, markets and festivals.

You’ll have a passion for fast casual BBQ/Smoked food and be able to thrive in a rapid paced kitchen environment that will be producing our classic street food menu alongside new additions and specials on rotation.

There is a mixture of prep shifts and hot food service shifts.

You should be able to work 3.30pm - 12am Friday to Sunday.

You’ll have a minimum of one year current experience of working in a busy kitchen and will have an exceptional attitude towards food production and food hygiene safety practices.

We would love to hear from you if you have

  • A minimum of 1-year kitchen experience
  • A minimum of a level 2 food hygiene certificate ideally level 3 food hygiene.
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • A brilliant self-starter who can also be a team player
  • Experience of working in a demanding fast paced food environment
  • Ideally have some knowledge of the brisket cut of meat

The Lowdown

  • £8-12 per hour depending on experience.
  • Full Training

Job Duties:

  • Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Follow recipes, food prep and presentation specifications
  • Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain a clean working station whilst adhering to health & safety standards
  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen and equipment
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift
  • Minimise waste when preparing meals and use equipment correctly.
  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
