The Recruitment Co are hiring a full time Chef for their public sector client based in Dundee.Pay rate: £11.13 per hourLocation: DundeeContract: Ongoing temporary contractShifts: 37.5 hours per week - 5 days out of 7 - alternating early & mid shifts - weekend work involvedEarly shift - 06.00-14.00Mid shift - 10.00-18.00Candidates must be able to provide 3 years of references with all gaps accounted for.Duties
  • Prepare, cook and serve a wide range of dishes.
  • Following various recipes.
  • Plating up meals for service.
  • Ensuring high standards are met maintaining a clean, safe working environment.
  • Control of food safety and quality through continuous monitoring of food temperature.
  • Maintain accurate and appropriate records.
  • Work within a team of kitchen staff.
Candidates Must Have
  • SVQ Level 3 Catering (or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of work procedures, practices and equipment for a catering service.
  • The ability to work as part of a team or on own initiative.
  • The ability to follow and convey instructions.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • The ability to cope with work under pressure.
