The primary objective of the Chef de Partie is to work in every area of the kitchen. As part of the Kitchen team your overall role is to prepare, cook and present food to a high standard. You will work within a team of well trained professional Chef’s.

Responsibilities are shared within the team and as directed by our Head Chef.

Duties and service of all dishes on the hotel menus.

To prepare and present dishes on hotel menus according to customer requirements.

Presenting food for a range of functions including daily dining guests from the hotel, weddings and function food.

To maintain portion control guidelines in order to ensure the profitability of kitchen is maintained.

Supporting the other Chef’s in the daily operation of the kitchen.

To keep food wastage to a minimum.

To assist with various cleaning duties as required.

To ensure food materials are stored correctly and rotated to meet company and legal requirements.

To assist with the ordering of food materials as required following company procedures.

To consistently deliver superior customer service.

Ensure food hygiene and health and safety regulations are adhered to at all times. Adhere to existing and new working practices, methods, procedures and respond positively to new and alternative systems.

To record temperature checks on food and in storage areas as directed to ensure statutory requirements are met and report any variances are rectified immediately.
