Contract: 40 Hrs per week

Salary: £30,160 per year (£14.50 per hour)

Plus 1.5 times per hour overtime paid

Our client is on lookout for a Chef who can excel in a fast-paced kitchen production environment that can work to tight deadlines, communicating effectively with the existing kitchen team. DBS check will be required and will be organised if you don’t already have one.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and cooking of in-flight meals.
  • Ensure meals are prepared to exact specifications and quantities.
  • Advise stores and procurement teams on order placement and appropriate product selection.
  • Communicate with Shift Manager regarding production and delivery concerns.
  • Immediate start opportunity for dedicated, passionate individuals with cooking skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail.
  • Wash, sort, assemble, pack, and position aircraft equipment.
  • Process and strip trolleys, delivering them to the relevant department.
  • Offload and sort equipment/food, ensuring delivery to the appropriate processing area.

What You will Need:

  • Current DBS preferable - This role is situated within an Airport. Criminal Record Check is required and will be provided if needed.
  • Right To Work in the United Kingdom.
  • Experience of volume cooking in a hotel/restaurant/airline environment while working to tight deadlines.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment using own initiative
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
