Appointment Type:Full time, permanent, 35 hours per week.

Working Pattern: Primarily weekday working, though flexibility is essential for this role and there will be a requirement for some evening and weekend work.

Location: Cathedral Centre, 3 Ford Street, Salford, M3 6DP

Salary: £33,000 - £40,000 per annum (FTE) depending on skills and experience.

Benefits: 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays and 5 closure days per annum, plus employer’s pension scheme.

About: The Diocese of Salford are seeking to recruit a suitability qualified individual to provide leadership and oversee all facilities management aspects of the Cathedral Campus to develop and sustain excellence in all areas. The Cathedral, Cathedral House and Cathedral Centre are of great significance to the Church in Salford and this role will be responsible for delivering the highest standards of safety, hygiene, hospitality and service across this diverse setting through effective facilities management.

What we are looking for: An individual with significant experience of managing facilities and compliance aspects with familiarity to key legal and safety requirements across multi-sites or complex buildings of varying nature. The post-holder will be an excellent manager of people with an ability to lead, motivate and coach others. They will be able to build effective and successful working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders and diverse groups and have the ability to work with sympathy towards and respect for the values and ideals of the Church.

Organisational and prioritisation skills will be key with an ability to problem-solve and innovate and exercise sound-judgment.

The successful candidate will:

· Have suitable substantive experience in a similar level role, preferably gained in an organisation with multiple stakeholders;

· Have experience of staff management with knowledge and/or experience of managing multi-disciplined teams;

· Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills;

· Have high levels of drive, energy and integrity;

· Be able to work sensitively with confidential information;

· Possess sound IT skills (Microsoft Office etc.).

The nature of the duties of the successful candidate are that it will inevitably on occasion be necessary to work outside designated hours as the demands of the role require.
