Catering Manager (6month Contract)

Location North Yorkshire

Salary: £32,000 pro rata

I am currently looking for a catering manager on a short-term contract to run a catering department ensuring maximum profit for the company and deliver excellent standards of customer service and presentation.

Principal Duties
  • To ensure spend per head and gross profit targets are met by maximising sales, to be pro-active with promotions and sales opportunities.
  • To control wages costs, budgets and assist in the formulation of the same.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of seasonal staff, ensuring correct staffing levels and maintaining up to date training records for staff.
  • Arrange and co-ordinate stock takes as and when required.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and presentation within the department.
  • Ensure that all legislation in relation to the department is adhered to.
  • Monitor stock levels ensuring these levels are correct in respect of demand.
  • To work within the Revenues department to ensure the success and profitability of the department.
  • To ensure company cash handling policy is followed by all till operators and to
ensure compliance with the company cashing up procedure.
  • To monitor, verify and investigate on a daily basis any overrings or discrepancies and to carry out random till and overring checks, reporting finding to the Revenues Manager.
  • To comply with all current legislation in relation to you, your department and the company’s responsibilities for Health and Safety as laid down in the Health and Safety policy and law.
