We have a number of bank Catering Assistant positions available in over 250 schools throughout the county. These positions are Monday to Friday over the lunchtime period.

In addition to this, there are many benefits including local government salary-related pension and money off vouchers for shopping are some of the benefits open to Surrey employees.

The salary for this role is £9.50 per hour.

Helping prepare and serve food is just one aspect of this varied role. Setting up the dining area, serving children and assisting with cleaning duties are all part of a typical day’s work too. You will need to get on well with colleagues and customers alike, so your friendly nature will get every opportunity to shine. We’ll provide you with all the training you need.

As well as cooking, some admin and cleaning you will be at the forefront in delivering quality lunches within schools for our most important customers: the children. You’ll be required to attach a CV and write a personal statement, which should detail your working history from when you left school/college to date. Please also include information regarding any gaps in your employment history.

Precautions and risk assessment are currently in place to ensure the workplace is Covid-secure. Regular lateral flow testing available on site or at community centres. PPE supplied where required.
