Job description

An amazing opportunity has come up within a healthcare business located in the Birmingham area. This position is a Cash Allocation position, due to the nature of the business there are a large amount of payments being received every day which are complex. This is resulting in a constant backlog of payments that need allocating within this system. Our clients are ideally looking for someone who can come in and assist with allocating payments, ideally someone who has already done something similar previously (Credit Control, Reconciliations/Treasury, Accounts Assistant, etc).

The successful candidate for this position will ideally have worked in a similar role allocating payments on the sales ledger, this can involve bank reconciliations and a bit of investigative work when finding out where payments need to be allocated to. This position requires someone who is able to multi-task and enjoys being a bit exploratory and analytical work when processing their way through the ledger so they are ideally wanting someone who embodies these skills. Additionally, this position is urgent, as it is a temporary position replacing someone who is on leave for some time, so please only apply if you are immediately available or are on a one week notice period.

Ideally, you will:

  • Have worked in a similar position previously, where you were responsible for reconciliations of the bank statement which resulted in you allocating incoming payments (or a similar responsibility).
  • Be a meticulous person who enjoys getting their teeth sunk into a challenge and investigating confusing payments to determine where they need to be allocated.
  • Be a confident, hard worker who has a head for puzzles and enjoys a challenge, but also someone who enjoys having fun at the same time as you will be joining a team of similar people.
  • Be immediately available or on a one week notice period as this position is looking to start ASAP to avoid any additional backlog.
