Caretaker/Cleaner

£18,525 (Full-time Equivalent - FTE)

Connections Day Services, Radstock

Are you a reliable and enthusiastic Caretaker/Cleaner based in the Bath area? Are you looking to join an NHS Health and Social Care partner which is striving to make positive changes? Would you like to work for an organisation where more than 9 out of every 10 of the people who use services would recommend them?

Feel Valued

You will receive £18,525(FTE), group pension and we’ll provide you with access to a committed Learning and Development team, and we work closely with Universities and Health Education England to further your potential and support your progression. We will offer a combination of in-house eLearning, workshops and courses to support your development.

You will become part of the Virgin Tribe. This grants you access to premier offers on Virgin Products such as holidays.

You’ll access our central online health and lifestyle platform covering healthy recipes, activity challenges, and support information around mental health.

Feel Proud

Working within the experienced and dedicated Connections Day Services team, you will be responsible for closing the building and ensuring that the environment is safe and hygienic for everyone in the service.

Connections Day Services is a building-based day service for adults with learning disabilities. The service provides person-centred, specialist support to service users with significant complex health needs. The support team delivers group and 1:1 activities focused around key areas including: communication, health & wellbeing, independent living skills, social skills and support with sensory needs.

Your duties will generally be routine in nature and carried out on a day-to-day basis, following a schedule of cleaning and health & safety tasks. Jobs will include cleaning, stock maintenance, general maintenance around the building and carrying out Health & Safety checks such as checking fire safety equipment and taking fridge temperatures. You will be a key holder and may need to be available to attend the centre if there is an out-of-hours emergency call out.

Once trained you will often work on your own but with guidance from the service manager and other staff members. You will have good communication and organisation skills, and a flexible approach.

You will be based primarily in Connections Day Services, which is in Radstock.

The service provision is currently Monday to Friday between 9am – 4.30pm. The Cleaner/Caretaker hours for this post are from 1pm-5.30pm for the afternoon Caretaker/Cleaner. This is a job share role – one Caretaker works in the morning, one in the afternoon.

Feel Inspired

Here at Virgin Care, colleague recognition is important to us and we know that across our services there are colleagues who deserve acknowledgment for their commitment for going above and beyond to ensure that their colleagues and service users feel the difference. Every year we hold Feel the Difference Awards where nominated colleagues get together for a celebration to receive their prize for their recognised hard work!
