Care Hostess (Mornings Only). Oak Springs Care Home

11 hours per week and 27.5 hours per week available
8am-2pm shifts

As a Care Hostess, you will join a team that is passionate about delivering exceptional service to our residents.

Oak Springs Care Home is a luxury purpose-built residential care home in Wavertree. Here at Oak Springs, we provide the highest standard of residential, respite and dementia care for older people.

Our beautiful 74-bedded home is spread across 3 floors, and our lively team supports the vibrant community of residents to enjoy everything from music rooms and a beauty salon, to peaceful lounge and courtyard areas. We also embrace sensory enlightenment, encourage individuality and focus onenhancingquality of life, rather than just preserving it.

As a Care Hostess at our home, your role may involve:
Providingan effective and efficient food service within the care home and departments, always ensuring the highest food safety standards to residents and visitors.
To carry out the preparation and service of all foods as detailed by way of menu’s in the care home areas. To comply with instruction on portion control, presentation and recording all information pertaining to the service as may be required.
To process resident’s food requests and assemble meals into suite delivery trolleys.
To be aware of resident’s specialised diets and to ensure that all special dietary needs/requests are followed.
Ensure all food served to residents is correctly presented and easily accessible, considering any dietary restrictions that may apply
To prepare the residents area, prior to service

Skills this role requires:
Hands-on approach with a can-do work style
Commitment to delivering an exceptional guest service with a passion for the customer service industry
Ability to find solutions and take ownership for duties and tasks assigned
Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment with high standards
Comfortable with learning to use various IT systems on various platforms and devices
Strong communication skills

  • Overtime is paid for working over fulltime hours. Free meals are given if working over an 8 hour shift and are subject to terms and conditions. Discounts are accessed using our ‘Reward Me’ app. Flexible pay is available via ‘WAGESTREAM’.
