About The Company:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the Home Manager position in our small, independently run Nursing Home. We offer a full range of Nursing, Residential, Convalescence and Respite care to 18/19 residents.

We are proud to say that the home has been in the same family for over 40 years and this consistency in ownership has enabled us to build a reputation as a small, friendly home that not only offers exceptional levels of care, but also one that gives residents and families the personal attention that can make all the difference. This longevity of ownership has also meant that over time we have built up a very loyal and trustworthy care team, some of whom have been with us in excess of 10 or more years.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the owners, an opportunity now exists for a Registered Manager to undertake the provision of support and leadership to the Care Home Staff, ensuring that day-to-day operations are effectively and efficiently co-ordinated and conducted within an established framework, and in full compliance with Nursing Home policies, procedures, legislative and best practice requirements, maintaining the Home’s professional and clinical standards at all times, and ensuring all residents are treated with dignity, and continue to receive outstanding care every day.

With potential previous experience, you will have the necessary knowledge and skills to help us to achieve our goals and drive continuous improvement within the Home, and you will be a proactive, analytical and creative leader who can positively influence your team, as well as looking for new and innovative solutions to the challenges faced by all of us in the social care sector.

Experience:

Ideally you will be an experienced, ambitious registered nurse who has aspirations to step up into a management role. Previous experience as a Home Manager, Deputy Manager or Clinical Lead is beneficial but not essential. However, if you do have Care Home Management experience but don’t have NMC registration we will also be happy to consider your application.

Diploma level 5 in leadership and management in health and social care desirable (or working/willing to work towards)

A strong understanding of the CQC and regulatory requirements and framework and an understanding of the legislative requirements around care of vulnerable people, including the Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).

Experience of producing well developed care plans and undertaking risk assessments

Experience of supervising the work of others

This position requires excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a compassionate and caring nature. The ability to work independently and make sound decisions is essential.
