Adult and Children’s Social Care are looking for a creative individual with skills in IT and in meeting training needs to support with the use of CareDirector, our new electronic social care records system. The role involves providing training and support to all users of the CareDirector system. The CareDirector system is agile and is being continually developed to support improvements in service delivery, the Training Officer will be vital in supporting users to keep up to date and use it effectively.

The Training Officer will work with social care colleagues to analyse training needs, design, and deliver training, and support the IT developers in Care Director development. The role will promote and enable excellent data quality across the departments and liaise with performance colleagues to identify and solve quality issues. The Training Officer will support the culture of continuous improvement and delivery of good quality social care to Southampton residents.

We will give you the opportunity to use your great communication skills, listening to others and getting a good understanding of the different learning needs in the departments. We’ll encourage and support you to be innovative and to use and develop a range of skills and abilities to help others with their learning including coaching individuals and facilitating groups. You’ll have the opportunity to share your excellent IT literacy skills with others and have the chance to work autonomously to support others to improve their confidence in using CareDirector.
