The role


We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of Care Assistant

Salary: £10.85 per hour
Location: Camden, NW1 4

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide assistance and/or guidance where needed with personal care, e.g. taking medicines, shaving, and intensive personal or intimate care in circumstances where this is required.
  • Carry out tasks including; shopping, cleaning, ironing, cooking, collecting benefits and/or prescriptions, and escorting to attend appointments whilst promoting individual independence
  • Monitor the physical and emotional health of customers and take necessary action
  • Participate in and monitor care plans
  • To work alone on occasions, both within the service and in the community, working to the organisation’s policy and procedures when working alone and reporting any changes that may affect the personal safety of yourself and others
  • Follow One Housing, the Local Authority and CQC Safeguarding policies and procedures for vulnerable adults
  • Respect the confidentiality of data stored electronically and by other means in line with the Data Protection Act

  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to motivate and support vulnerable adults
  • Ability to manage a caseload of customers
  • Ability to maintain administration, communication records and recording systems

Desirable Knowledge

  • Knowledge of the Housing Sector and One Housing’s activities
  • Understanding of working with vulnerable adults.
  • Ability to provide assistance and/or guidance where needed with personal care
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage with vulnerable people
