Location: Sleaford. Salary: £9.03 per hour. Job type: Permanent – Full time. Hours: Days and Nights available. Shifts: 7:30 - 7:30. Job Paths 4 U are looking for a Care Assistant for a Nursing, Dementia and Residential Care Home based in Sleaford. As a Care Worker, you will support the elderly residents and care for those with dementia. This 45 bedded home is a warm and homely nursing and care home for the elderly based in Sleaford Lincolnshire has been selectively extended and modernised to offer a high standard of living to all residents and is based in very picturesque settings. My client is looking for a strong-minded, passionate and confident person with a great work ethic to work in their residential care home based in Sleaford. Duties and Responsibilities for this Care Assistant role include:.
  • The role involves being responsible for the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of residents, assisting them with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and eating their meals.
  • Play a key role in promoting residents’ independence, choice, dignity and respect by delivering the very best standards of care.
  • The role is responsible for maintaining accurate daily charts and must undertake regular training.
  • Quality care for all residents including the correct use of moving and handling equipment, risk assessments when caring for residents who may be at risk of falls, or who may harm themselves or others.
  • To respond to the needs of service users, to assess emergency situations, contacting the manager on call as required.
  • To support colleagues throughout the night to assist residents.
  • To support residents with their personal care identified within the individual care plans.
  • To assist residents who need help, reassurance or support throughout the night.
  • To maintain accurate notes and records within the resident’s individual files and to handover information to staff that is relevant to the ongoing care of individual residents. Minimum requirements for this Care worker role are:.
  • Must have Level 2 Health and Social Care.
  • Experience of working with the elderly and people with dementia.
  • Experience of working in residential care.
