As an experienced Care Assistant, you will be working in one of our Complex Care Units, you will need to show warmth and compassion to our residents and their families, helping to promote independence and positively enhancing their lives because our residents are the heart of everything we do. To achieve this:-Primary focus is contributing to the mental health and wellbeing of the residents
  • You must have a positive attitude and be able to work in a person-centred way.
  • Frontline support for residents with mental health illnesses and by being by their side they learn to manage their challenges and adapt to life after diagnosis
  • Working well as part of a team is also essential to delivering effective resident care, as is paying attention to their changing needs.
  • Provide the precise help that is needed, when it’s needed, as the needs of each individual can vary depending on the type of challenges they face, their symptoms and severity.
  • Need to be strong-willed and able to think on your feet to avoid crisis or upset to residents.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, family and health care professionals.
  • Our team need to understand dignity, respect and the importance of offering choice.
  • Staff should have knowledge of how we are regulated by CQC. Essential Educational Requirements for Healthcare Assistants:
  • Ideal candidates will have experience in Health and Social Care.
  • NVQ/Diploma in health and social care.
  • We would welcome anyone also willing to train and work towards fully funded qualifications.   • Full-time of 36 hours per week
  • Day shifts from 8.00am to 8.00pm over seven days, 12 hour shifts
  • Welcome bonus £500 on completion of probation period
  • Overtime is available paid at enhanced rate
  • Bank Holidays paid at enhaced rate per hour (if worked)
